TWO C IS C2
by Louie P. Oviedo
In the heart if Makati's business district, somewhere within the confines of the AIM Conference Center, at the corner of Benavidez and Trassiera Streets in Legaspi Village lies a bar and a restaurant waiting for you to discover. C2 is the name of that bar and restaurant and it belongs to the same group which gave you Cravings.
C2 was called thus because it was the result of the merging of two of Cravings Group establishments that both starts with the letter "C": The Cravings Restaurant and Bakery and the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila (CCA, Manila).
CCA, Manila is the first and only culinary school here in the Philippines which offers a two-year program for a Diploma in Culinary Arts and Technology Management and a one-year program for a Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts. It also aims to produce the country's finest, professional chefs.
Before their students graduate from CCA, Manila (which, by the way, is located inside their Katipunan office), they get to hone their cooking, management, and survival skills here at C2. They get to have the first-hand experience on how to run a bar and a restaurant. Not only that, they also let customers get a taste of their cooking and at the same time learn to keep up with their demands.
C2 Bar and Restaurant was also conceived to cater to the lifestyle and preferences of business executives and professionals as they are treated to a Euro-Asian Cuisine of Spanish, Italian, French, and Asian culinary specialties prepared by the chefs of CCA, Manila and Chef Joey Carpo.
C2 is open from 7am to 12pm from Mondays to Thursdays. Bar nights with techno beat are on Fridays and Saturdays, with closing time at two in the morning.
