EARPORT AT RATSKY
by Louie P. Oviedo
Located at the second floor of Ratsky is their Earport, a KTV lounge that has private rooms wherein you and your barkada can stay for two hours as long as you pay the Php300 entrance fee. Not only does it entitle you to watch the live shows at Ratsky, it also includes consummable food and drinks from Sunday to Thursday. While from Friday to Saturday, the fee is already inclusive of two drinks. Should you exceed two hours, you get to pay Php100 for every hour.
There are rooms which can accommodate around four to five individuals in a room and there are rooms which can accommodate 10 up to 20 people. Each room is equipped with a 29 inch TV monitor and an Antzeer Digital Echo AV Amplifier KTV player. You can choose from over a hundred songs listed alphabetically and divided into two categories: OPM and foreign artists.
The room can be a little scary if you're claustrophobic since it only has walls, no windows. The acoustics haven't been well planned since I do not see any foams or egg cartons that will counterattack your neighbor's noise or music---depends on how you take it---not to mingle with yours. Nevertheless, if it's privacy or hearing your own voice on the amplifiers get you a little more high than just watching a live show, you could enjoy yourself in one of their rooms through Frank Sinatra's "All the Way" and "Born Free" or any of Randy Satiago's hits like "Bababaero".
